SONY TO INCLUDE TRANSLUCENT MIRRORS IN ALL FUTURE DSLRS

When Sony debuted their translucent-mirror technology in the Alpha 33 and 55 last year, the new technology garnered lots of praise for its innovative technology, allowing users to fire up to 10fps and have an enhanced movie recording experience. It seems that Sony has stuck to their guns on this one, confirming that it will be rolling out this technology across its entire SLR line including the soon to be released A77.

The way the translucent mirror works is that it captures light THROUGH the mirror itself, eliminating the need for a mirror slap when it comes to pulling the trigger. I for one am not really an EVF kind of guy, so I don't think this will be the next big thing in photography. Another question is what will happen to the higher end Sony Full Frame cameras? Will they still retain their competitive price point, even with the translucent mirror injection?
